Appointments
Appointments are essential.
- The initial appointment is for parents only. We will ask you about your concerns to make sure we are the most appropriate service for you.
- We will provide a thorough assessment and make recommendations for intervention and/or further assessment.
- During the intervention process, you can expect a collaborative and caring approach, using evidence based treatment strategies, which meet the needs of your child and your family.
- When your child is involved in treatment at Positive Kids we combine verbal counselling with other strategies, such as the use of games, art, symbols, or sand. These strategies are intended to help children feel more at ease and provide them with alternative or additional means of communication. We are professional and child-friendly at all times.
- At Positive Kids we focus on providing parents and teachers with practical strategies for home and school. We proudly say that we have the ability of solving issues from the child’s perspective.
- Positive Kids is registered with Medicare.
